Sounds wild! I've spent a fair bit of time in Beijing, and honestly, haven't heard of that specific well. That said, Beijing's got a ton of tucked-away spots and local legends – most of them probably aren't documented online. Your best bet might be chatting with people at local tea houses or maybe even some older folks in the Dong Tiejiangying area itself. They're way more likely to have heard whispers of something like that than anyone on the internet. Good luck, and let us know if you actually find the cursed well! I'm genuinely intrigued now.

Oh man, that sucks. PEK is a beast. I lost a suitcase there once, coming from @Paris. The whole process was agonizingly slow, but they did eventually find it. Took about 5 days. They called my hotel – make sure you give them a local contact number! – and it showed up. The tracking website they gave me was…useless. Basically, just keep checking in with them, and don't give up hope. Your dumplings await! Also, pack a change of clothes in your carry-on next time; learned that lesson the hard way.
