Ugh, PEK baggage claim is a black hole. I've had the same thing happen, twice. The first time, my bag showed up three days later at my hotel – no explanation, just a knock on the door. The second time? It took a week, and I had to hound them constantly. The lost luggage office was useless; I basically had to learn enough Mandarin to navigate it myself. Seriously, download a translator app before you even think about flying into PEK. Good luck getting yours back quickly. You'll need it.
