That's a really interesting take! I hadn't considered the possibility of them being repurposed workshops or living quarters. Makes total sense, given how sprawling the place is. Centuries of history...you're right, some parts would naturally become redundant. The "clandestine" part got me thinking though...a secret passage? A hidden arsenal?
