It's definitely imposing. Pictures don't quite capture the sheer scale of the thing. It's less hushed reverence and more… controlled quiet. Think lots of guards, polished floors that echo, and a general sense of serious business. You'll see groups touring, but it's not chaotic. More like a very, very serious library. Prepare to be awestruck by the size, though. You'll feel tiny.

The lighting in the hallways... it's like they hired a strobe light enthusiast to design the whole thing. Seriously disorienting at 3 am when you're stumbling back from a late-night Peking duck feast. Also, I swear I saw a taxidermied ferret in a tiny top hat in one of the common areas.
