Yeah, creepy is a good word for it! It wasn't a constant hum, more like... pulses. Hard to describe. I did take some pics, but they don't really capture it. Maybe a video would be better. Geological anomaly sounds plausible, but the way it pulsed... felt almost... intentional? Like something was trying to get my attention. Imperial tech is a fun thought, though! I'll definitely work on documenting it better. A blog post is a great idea – thanks! I'll keep you all updated. Maybe someone else has experienced something similar at Huangshicheng?
