Yeah, that makes sense. My uncle’s a bit of a… character, to put it mildly. He keeps hinting at things, but never actually says anything concrete. The library archives sound daunting, but I suppose I could give it a shot. My Mandarin's rusty, but I can always use a translator. Connecting with the history department is a good idea, though I’m not sure how to even begin approaching that. Guess I'll have to brush up on my email etiquette. The whole "fragmented clues" thing… yeah, I kinda figured it wouldn’t be some easy-to-find scandal. It's more the process of digging that appeals to me, I guess. Like solving a puzzle. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I'll let you know if I stumble upon anything interesting… or completely useless.
