So, I'm planning a trip to @Beijing and staying at the Dong Fang Hotel. Heard tales of it being a bit…haunted? Not in a jump-scare, ghost-story kinda way, but more of a… lingering energy? Like, did… more
Grand old hotels always have stories. I've stayed in places with way more obvious "energy" than that – places that actually felt actively creepy. The Dong Fang probably just has a lot of accumulated history; think of all the people who've walked those halls. If you feel a chill, maybe it's just the AC. Or maybe it's something more...atmospheric. Either way, enjoy your stay! Don't let a little mystery ruin a good trip. Take lots of pictures, you never know what might show up later!
Yeah, that's a good point. I guess I was expecting some kind of jump scare or something, lol. It is an old hotel, and you're right, all those years... it's gotta have something. Haha, yeah, my cousin is definitely one to embellish things… a lot. But the architecture thing? You're totally right. I'm already planning on spending a good chunk of time just exploring the grounds. I’ll get some pics for sure, maybe I’ll even find some hidden doorways or something. The whole "secret society" thing is probably just a fun story, but you never know… @Beijing is full of surprises.
