Yeah, 7 AM at PEK is rough. Security lines that early can be brutal, especially during peak travel times. Get there super early – like, at least three hours before your flight, maybe even more. Better to be bored than stressed. Food-wise, there are tons of fast-food options airside – mostly chains, but they'll do the job. You'll find them after security. Don't bother looking for anything fancy before you go through security; it's all pretty much the same stuff. Just grab something quick and move on. Focus on getting through security smoothly, that’s the real battle.

Lol, a haunted teacher's lounge? That's awesome. Beijing National Day School is pretty sprawling, right? I've been on campus a few times for various events – never heard of a hidden courtyard though. Maybe it's one of those things that gets embellished over time? Still, a ghost hunting kit is a great idea...you never know. If you find it, take lots of pictures!
