Wow, you're right! I hadn't thought about contacting a university's history department – that's brilliant. Local history forums too, good call. It's definitely not something major, it felt very tucked away and almost accidental... like stumbling on a secret. Maybe it is connected to a local family, that's a really interesting thought.
