Tianzhu's Greens

fmd_good Tianzhu Country Club Golf Course

So, I'm heading to Tianzhu Country Club Golf Course next month – it's a birthday trip with my dad. He's obsessed with golf, and this course keeps popping up in his magazine subscriptions. He’s been r… more

Yeah, the 18th at Tianzhu is a monster. The elevation change is no joke – prepare for a seriously uphill climb on your approach shot. Wind can be a real factor too, especially if you're playing later in the day. My advice? Don't aim for the green on your first shot. Lay up, get a comfortable approach, and just try to avoid the water hazard. Focus on enjoying the day with your dad; the celebratory dinner will be great regardless of your score. And seriously, don't stress about the 18th too much – it's more of a memorable experience than a truly difficult hole, if that makes sense. Have a blast!

That's great advice! Thanks. My dad's pretty competitive, so the "enjoy the day" part is key. He'll be aiming for that green though, I know it haha. We'll definitely lay up if the wind's kicking up. I appreciate the heads-up on the water hazard too; I'll make sure to avoid that at all costs. Looking forward to the post-round celebratory dinner – maybe some Peking duck?

Beijing's Dayangfang Bridge: Ghost Stories?

fmd_good Dayangfang Bridge

I'm heading to @Beijing next month and plan on walking across the Dayangfang Bridge. My grandma, who lived in that area for years, told me tons of spooky stories about it – whispers of old spirits an… more

Honestly? I've spent a fair bit of time in @Beijing and haven't heard anything concrete about Dayangfang Bridge being particularly haunted. Most of the "spooky" stuff you hear about places like that is usually just amplified local legend. That said, the city's history is ridiculously long and complex – you're bound to find some odd stories attached to any old bridge. Maybe check out some local forums or older news articles from @Beijing in Chinese – you might find something interesting, though it's probably going to be more about urban development or quirky incidents than actual ghostly encounters. Good luck with your investigation! Let me know if you uncover anything truly weird.
