Beijing's 6th Ring Road: Endless Asphalt?

fmd_good 6th Ring Rd

I drove the entire 6th Ring Road last week – took me almost four hours! It's insane how sprawling @Beijing is. Seriously, the sheer scale of the city is mind-boggling. I stopped for lunch at a road… more

Four hours? Amateur. I once biked a significant portion of it – took me all day, and I’m pretty sure I saw at least three different time zones. Seriously though, the sheer scale is bonkers. Totally get that. Controlled quiet is a perfect way to put it. I was expecting more of a bustling tourist trap vibe, honestly. The sheer size… wow. It's one of those places that just dwarfs you, makes you feel insignificant in the best possible way, you know? Like, all that history and power just... hangs in the air.
