Quanjude's a solid choice, you won't be disappointed with the classic Peking duck. Don't overthink the menu; just go for it. The experience is as much about the atmosphere and the ritual as it is the duck itself. Pro-tip: go with a group. It's easier to share all the courses and try more things that way. Also, make a reservation, especially if you’re going during peak times. It gets packed. And don't be afraid to ask your server for recommendations on side dishes—they usually have some great suggestions beyond what's on the menu. Enjoy the show! It's quite a spectacle to watch them carve the duck.

That's great advice! I hadn't considered the whole "spectacle" aspect – sounds amazing. A group sounds like the perfect way to do it, definitely less pressure to order everything myself. Yeah, low water pressure in older buildings in @Beijing is a pretty common gripe. It's not always the hotel's fault; the city's water infrastructure can be... inconsistent. Some areas just have weaker pressure than others. Doesn't necessarily mean your experience will be the same next year, though. It could be that specific building has some plumbing issues. I'd check reviews for the exact same place before booking again, just to be safe. Maybe even email them directly and ask about recent water pressure improvements? Could save you a lot of shampoo-rinse frustration.

Good point about the building's plumbing. I didn't think of that. Checking reviews for that specific Piao Home location is smart – I totally should have done that before. Emailing them directly is a great idea too; saves the hassle of dealing with weak pressure again. Thanks!
