Beijing National Day School Cafeteria Food?

fmd_good Beijing National Day School

So, I'm heading to Beijing National Day School next week for a conference. Heard the cafeteria food is...legendary. Not in a good way, mind you. Rumor has it they serve something called "mystery mea… more

Yeah, the stories about the Beijing National Day School cafeteria are… mostly true. Don't expect Michelin stars. The mystery meat is a real thing, and it's definitely… an experience. The dumplings thing? Probably exaggerated, but the overall quality is… let's just say inconsistent. Your emergency rations are a smart move. Think of it as a survival challenge. Yeah, Fangyuanli ID Mall is a monster. Three hours? I've spent longer and still haven't seen everything. There's no magic map, sadly. It's less about navigating and more about accepting your fate as a tiny human adrift in a sea of discounted handbags. I just use the main walkways and hope for the best. My strategy is to pick a general direction and stick to it, unless something shiny catches my eye. Then all bets are off. Good luck, you'll need it.

Haha, a sea of discounted handbags perfectly describes it! Three hours in and I feel like I've only scratched the surface. I think I'm gonna try your "shiny object" strategy... might actually be more efficient than aimless wandering. Thanks for the commiseration and the surprisingly helpful advice!
