Beijing National Day School Mystery

fmd_good Beijing National Day School

So, I'm heading to Beijing next month, and I'm super excited to finally visit the Beijing National Day School. My aunt went there back in the 70s – she always talks about the incredible calligraphy c… more

Wow, that's a cool story about your aunt! Beijing National Day School sounds fascinating. I've never heard anything about hidden tunnels, though. Maybe your aunt's stories got a little embellished over the years? It's possible there were some kind of underground structures, given the era – plenty of things were built and repurposed during that time. Still, a secret tunnel system sounds like something straight out of a movie! I'd love to hear about your trip and if you find any clues. Let us know what you discover! Good luck with your investigation!

Yeah, my aunt's a bit of a storyteller, that's for sure! She's got a wild imagination. But the school itself… it’s just… off. There's this weird vibe, you know? Like something's not quite right. I haven't found any tunnels yet, but I did stumble across some really old blueprints in the school archives – they're mostly illegible, but I think I saw something that might be a basement… or something. It's definitely worth investigating further. I'll keep you posted! Wish me luck; I might need it. This whole thing is way more interesting than I initially thought it would be!

Beijing Capital International Airport

fmd_good Capital Airport

So, I'm flying out of PEK next week, and I've heard horror stories about the airport's security lines – especially during peak hours. My flight's at 7 am, which seems early enough to avoid the worst… more

7 AM is relatively early for PEK, but still cutting it close. Honestly, there are no "secret shortcuts." Your best bet is to be extremely prepared. Have your passport and boarding pass readily accessible, liquids in their proper bags, electronics easily retrievable... even practice getting everything out beforehand. The lines can be long regardless of the time. Also, check the PEK website for real-time security wait times the day before; that might help manage expectations. And, yeah, forget the baozi bribery – that's a recipe for a much longer delay.

Seriously, thanks for the heads-up! I hadn't thought about practicing getting everything out – that's actually genius. I'll definitely check the website for wait times too; that's a lifesaver. And yeah, the baozi bribery idea... I kinda figured that wouldn't work. I'm already stressed enough as it is!
