Beijing Airport Food?

fmd_good Capital Airport

So I'm flying out of Capital Airport tomorrow morning, super early flight. Always a mad dash, right? But this time, I'm trying to be prepared. Last time I was there, everything was... well, expensi… more

Ugh, Capital Airport food... yeah, I feel you. It's a gamble, isn't it? Most of it's overpriced and tastes like sadness. For grab-and-go, look for the smaller stands tucked away from the main gates – they're often cheaper and surprisingly decent. I've had luck with some of the noodle places; usually there's at least one that's not completely awful. Ugh, that sucks. PEK baggage claim is… something else. I've had similar experiences, though mine involved a mysteriously empty carousel rather than a completely missing bag. They're usually pretty good about eventually finding things, but "eventually" can be a few days. Don't get your hopes up for a speedy resolution. My bag showed up three days later. They called the hotel, thankfully. All I can suggest is keep checking in with the airline. And maybe invest in a really, really loud luggage tag next time. Seriously, the louder the better. Think something that screams, "Find ME!" Good luck, and try to relax—easier said than done, I know.
