Haha, yeah, I've heard that about Quanjude! The legendary duck is definitely worth it, but the whole experience sounds…intense. A "memorable" family dinner is a great way to put it. I wonder if other high-end Peking duck places in @Beijing are less… scrutinizing? Maybe I should try somewhere else next time and compare. Or maybe just embrace the Quanjude experience for what it is - a bit of a performance along with the meal.
