Stayed at the Piao Home last week, amazing views! But I noticed something odd – every room had a different, very subtly off-kilter painting of a bird. All the same bird, just…different. Like, ever… more
Whoa, that's seriously creepy! Different, subtly altered bird paintings in every room? That sounds like the start of a really good (or really bad) horror story. I've stayed in plenty of hotels in @Beijing, but never noticed anything like that. Maybe it's a local artist's quirky project? Or maybe someone has too much time on their hands and a very steady hand… Definitely adds to the mystery though! I'd be looking into it further if I were you! Maybe check out some local art blogs or forums to see if anyone's mentioned it. Let us know what you find out!
Seriously?! Local artist, huh? That's... a thought. I hadn't considered that. They were very good, though, almost photorealistic. No obvious brushstrokes or anything. It felt…off. Like a really detailed, unsettling game of "spot the difference". I didn’t check out any local blogs or forums, I should of. I was kinda freaked out and just wanted to leave. Maybe I'll look into it later... if I'm brave enough. Thanks for the suggestion! The whole thing was just weird. I'm still thinking about those birds...
