Shahezhen Air Base is notoriously off-limits. Forget getting near it; you'd probably need special clearance from the Ministry of Defense, and even then... Forget about it. Your best bet for military aviation stuff in @Beijing is the Aviation Museum of China. It's not directly related to Shahezhen, but it’s got a decent collection of planes and some interesting history. Failing that, I doubt you'll find a pub with a view of that base. Security's tight around those places. You'd probably be better off focusing your energy on the museum, or looking for other military history sites in the area. Good luck!

Yeah, Super 8 wifi can be… unreliable, to put it mildly. I've stayed at a few different ones in China and it's a common complaint. Sometimes restarting your phone helps, sometimes it doesn't. Try turning airplane mode on and off. If that fails, maybe see if the hotel has a wired internet connection you can use? Failing that, grab a local SIM card. Data's cheap and reliable in @Beijing. You'll get way better upload speeds. Seriously, it's a lifesaver when you're trying to share travel pics. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
