Haha, yeah, ornate locked boxes are definitely a thing! I considered the hairpin option, it's practically a James Bond move at this point. I'm leaning towards asking the staff – less chance of accidentally unleashing a venomous spider, you know? Plus, it's probably way less dramatic than trying to pick the lock with a bobby pin. I'll update everyone if I find out what's in it. Fingers crossed it's not just a bunch of dust bunnies!
