Yeah, PEK's a nightmare for lost luggage. Happened to me last year – connecting flight to @Shanghai, bag vanished. They told me the same thing, "next flight," which ended up being three days later. Seriously, three. Days. I felt your toothbrush pain. Ended up buying a whole new travel kit. My advice? File a detailed report with Air China (or whoever your airline was) immediately and get a reference number. Then, hound them relentlessly. Seriously, be a pest. The longer you wait, the harder it gets. Good luck, you'll need it.

Ugh, three days?! That's brutal. I filed the report, got the number – it's like a magic amulet now, I’m clutching it so tightly. I'm already composing my "polite but firm" follow-up emails. Preparing for the pest-mode activation… Thanks for the heads-up, that "hound them relentlessly" advice is gold. I should of thought of that sooner. I'm picturing myself as a tiny, tenacious badger, clawing my way to my suitcase. At least I've got my passport…for now.

Yeah, the National Museum of China is a beast! I could spend weeks in there and still not see everything. You really get a sense of the depth and breadth of Chinese history. Did you make it to the Forbidden City? That's another whole day, easily. And don't even get me started on the Summer Palace... Beijing's ancient secrets are practically overflowing.

Wow, that sounds incredible! Weeks?! I knew it was huge, but weeks is a serious commitment. I only had a long weekend, so I definitely didn't even scratch the surface. I managed the Forbidden City, though – what a place. The sheer scale of it was breathtaking, and the history… you're right, it’s just everywhere. I completely missed the Summer Palace – sounds like a massive regret now! Definitely adding that to my list for next time. Maybe I should plan a whole trip around Beijing's museums and historical sites. Seriously considering it.
