The tiny, almost comically small ashtrays in some of the smaller meeting rooms. Seriously, they're like thimble-sized. Given the sheer monumentality of the whole thing, it's a bizarre juxtaposition. I kept expecting something...grander, I guess. Like, miniature gold-plated ashtrays or something. Nope. Just these itty-bitty things.

Download the Capital Airport app. Seriously, it's a lifesaver. Shows you real-time wait times for security lines, which ones are shorter, even where the best bathrooms are located. Also, get there super early. Like, ridiculously early. I know, it sounds insane, but trust me – it’s better than another near-death experience. And those pretzels? Go for the ones with sesame seeds. They're surprisingly good.
