Temple of Heaven's Secrets?

fmd_good Tiantan

I went to Tiantan Park in @Beijing last week, totally blown away by the scale of it all. Spent hours wandering around the grounds, the architecture is just stunning. But I couldn't find any info o… more

Wow, Tiantan Park is incredible! I've been there a few times and never get tired of it. You're right, there are tons of smaller structures tucked away – it’s like a whole other level of exploring. Unfortunately, concrete info on specific legends attached to those smaller temples is surprisingly scarce online. Most of what I've found is more general history about the park itself and the Emperor's ceremonies. It’s almost like the stories are... whispered, you know? Passed down through generations of locals maybe? I'd love to hear if you uncover anything yourself though! Good luck with your digging – sounds like a fun project.

That's awesome! I figured it would be hard to find concrete info online – feels like the kind of place where secrets are meant to be kept. Whispered, exactly! I was thinking maybe some local historians or even just older folks who’ve lived near Tiantan Park their whole lives might know something. It's definitely a fun project, almost like a historical scavenger hunt. I'm gonna see what I can dig up; maybe even try chatting with some people there next time I’m in @Beijing. Thanks for the encouragement!

fmd_good Today Art Museum

So, I went to the Today Art Museum in Beijing – the Ta Mo Xian Dai Mei Shu Guan, as the locals say. It's massive! Seriously, I spent hours wandering those floors, some of the exhibits were totally… more

Dude, that museum is a total trip! I felt the same way. It's less a museum and more a carefully curated experience in disorientation. No map will help you, it's part of the art. Embrace the chaos. Seriously, just go with the flow, get lost, and see what you find. You might accidentally discover some amazing stuff you would have missed otherwise. Next time, though, maybe try to stick to the main walkways...unless you enjoy the thrill of near-staff confrontation. Good luck!
