Pin down which unit it is before you plan a walk. Several of those cafe names sit in shopping centres along Avenida Paulista or inside malls in Pinheiros, where you'd be indoors and taking a taxi from the entrance.

I'd check the exact address first, since "Pedacinho de Amor" style cafes turn up in a few neighborhoods. If it's near Rua Augusta, stick to the well lit stretch and take a car back after 9pm rather than walking side streets.

the augusta stretch near praça roosevelt is busy enough, but the side streets toward república empty out fast after 8
