Novo Sabor Sao Paulo safety at night 2026

I'm planning to eat at Novo Sabor and will likely be heading back to my hotel around 11pm. Which streets around there are fine to walk at that hour and which should I avoid? Stick to Av Paulista side streets, skip Rua Augusta after dark

the alameda santos stretch is fine too

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

augusta is fine up to roughly alameda tiete, past that it gets quiet & sketchy fast. coming back at 11 i'd cut over via rua da consolacao instead, taxis actually cruise that one

just grab a taxi after dinner tbh

Consolacao is like 400m downhill on Rua da Consolacao, fine with a suitcase, and the 2026 Bilhete Unico diario pays off after about 4 rides.

Uphill on the way back with the suitcase though.

True, though the walk back is only about 5 minutes and the sidewalk is wide enough to roll a bag.

The metro entrance on Praca Roosevelt side has stairs, use the elevator.

Depends which exit, some are stairs only.

honestly if ur bag has wheels you'll be fine, just watch the cracked sidewalk tiles near the corner. grab a taxi only if it's raining, traffic on Paulista gets dumb when it pours.
