Jardins and Itaim, side streets, after midnight.

Past 10pm, taxi back. Avenida Paulista itself is fine.

Vintage is in Consolacao, not Paulista

arrow_drop_up 14 arrow_drop_down

Right, it's Consolacao proper, and that pocket gets quiet but sketchy after 10pm, so I'd just grab a taxi.

Novo Sabor Sao Paulo safety at night 2026

I'm planning to eat at Novo Sabor and will likely be heading back to my hotel around 11pm. Which streets around there are fine to walk at that hour and which should I avoid? Stick to Av Paulista side streets, skip Rua Augusta after dark

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

the alameda santos stretch is fine too

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

yeah but cross at Rua Oscar Freire, better lit

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

augusta is fine up to roughly alameda tiete, past that it gets quiet & sketchy fast. coming back at 11 i'd cut over via rua da consolacao instead, taxis actually cruise that one

agreed, cut over before 11 not after

arrow_drop_up -5 arrow_drop_down

rua matias ayres around the corner, taxis idle there too

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

consolacao is the better bet at that hour, wider & cars moving so you're never alone on the block. if ur hotel is off paulista, hug the side heading toward alameda jaú, quieter but well lit

arrow_drop_up 10 arrow_drop_down

augusta's actually fine earlier in the evening, it's only past 11 or so that it empties out and feels off, so it depends on ur timing

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

worth adding that augusta is fine right around the praça da república end where it's busy, it's the middle stretch by the theater that empties out

arrow_drop_up 15 arrow_drop_down

just grab a taxi after dinner tbh
