nice guide, covers the basics well. one thing i'd throw in is that the teatro pedro ii tours are only on saturday mornings now, not weekends, i think they changed it last year. also if you're here on a tuesday or thursday evening, check out the feira noturna on rua visconde de inhaúma, it's a street market with food stalls and cheap caipirinhas, way more local vibe than the sunday craft fair
I've been to that churrascaria on Avenida Presidente Vargas a few times and it's solid, but if you want a more authentic rodízio experience, try Cantina do Ângelo on Rua Amador Bueno instead. It's run by an Italian family and the atmosphere is less touristy, plus the picanha comes with a house chimichurri that's worth the trip. Also worth noting that Parque Curupira's zoo is free, but the Japanese garden there has a small entry fee of R$5 and it's best visited in the morning when the koi fish are most active.

for a different vibe try the japonese food at temakeria & cia on rua são paulo, their hot roll combo is r$ 35 and it's a solid lunch spot that doesn't get mentioned enough in these lists
also the boteco do gaúcho recommendation is solid but i prefer bar do zé on rua general osorio for the same price chopp and way better bolinhos de bacalhau, the owner is usually there and will tell u stories about the city
