yeah genipabu is fun but honestly the buggy rides are kinda touristy and loud. if you want something chill, take a day trip to lagoa de guaraíras instead. it's this big lagoon system south of natal, you can do a boat tour through the mangroves, see some monkeys, and stop at a little floating restaurant for fresh shrimp. way less crowded than pipa and prettier imo

pipa is a solid full day trip but honestly it's a bit overrun these days, especially on weekends. genipabu is closer and the dune buggy ride is fun but you'll be done by lunch. if you want something different, try going to praia de ponta negra in the morning then head over to morro do careca for the hike, it's right there and gives you a great view. for a hidden gem, check out praia do amor on the south side, it's quieter and the water is super clear.

if you're up for something different, take a day trip to são miguel do gostoso. it's about an hour and a half north, super chill vibes with colorful little streets and some of the best kitesurfing spots. the beaches are way less crowded than pipa and the seafood is cheap & fresh
