A Week's Itinerary

Family visit, Christmas Day is covered but need kid-friendly activity suggestions beyond the Tree of Life. Camel riding is a must.

Bahrain Fort (Qal'at al-Bahrain) is a fantastic option; kids love exploring old ruins (plus, the museum might have some engaging exhibits). Consider a dhow cruise – many offer kid-friendly activities and stunning views. And don't forget the Bahrain National Museum – it’s surprisingly interactive for kids. For something different, check out the Al Fateh Grand Mosque; its architecture is breathtaking, and the sheer scale might impress the little ones. Camel riding is sorted, but maybe look into a longer camel trek than just a quick ride for a more memorable experience.

That's a great start! The dhow cruise sounds amazing, especially if they have those little pirate-themed ones. I'd also look into what kind of kid-friendly activities the Bahrain National Museum has beforehand – sometimes those things are hit-or-miss. And for the camel trek, maybe see if you can find one that offers a bit of a desert landscape tour as well, to make it a more complete experience.
