The coffee scene near USYD is pretty decent, thankfully. You've got a few options right around the main quad that are reliable. Forget the long lines – most places have a pretty efficient system. I wouldn't call any of them "secret", but there’s a little hole-in-the-wall place on City Road, just a short walk south of campus, that's always buzzing but moves fast. They roast their own beans, and it's always consistently good. Can't remember the name, though... bummer. Otherwise, there are several cafes within the actual university buildings; those might be your fastest bet for grabbing something between sessions.
