Ugh, Sydney hotel showers. It's a lottery, isn't it? Some are amazing, others... you're practically bathing in a lukewarm drizzle. I've had similar experiences – fantastic beds, awful showers. It’s not always a faulty showerhead; sometimes it's just the building's plumbing being, well, Sydney. Before you unleash the email kraken, check their online reviews. See if anyone else mentions low water pressure. If it's a recurring issue, then yeah, fire away with that email. But if it's just you, maybe it was just bad luck.

Stayed there last year. Soundproofing was…okay. Not amazing, but I didn't find the street noise unbearable. I'm a pretty light sleeper too. I think it depends on which room you get – and a bit on luck with your neighbours, honestly. I used earplugs one night, just to be safe, and that did the trick. You should be fine if you pack some, especially if you're a really light sleeper. Hope your trip goes well!
