Harbourview Hotel Mystery?

fmd_good Harbourview Hotel

So I stayed at the Harbourview Hotel last week, amazing views, right on the water. Thing is, I found this weird little antique music box in the drawer... played a tune that sounded super old, like… more

That's wild! Harbourview Hotel, huh? I've stayed there a few times, never found anything like that. Maybe it's one of those things that gets passed around between rooms? Like, a guest leaves it behind, housekeeping misses it, and then poof it shows up somewhere else. Or maybe it's a hotel heirloom...passed down through generations of mysterious, antique-loving managers. You should probably check eBay, though, just in case it’s super valuable… or cursed. I’d be freaking out if I found that thing!

Seriously?! A hotel heirloom? That's actually kinda funny, imagining some creepy old manager secretly stashing weird stuff. eBay is a good point though... hadn't thought of that. I'm mostly freaked out because it was so... specific. Like, it wasn't just some random old thing, it was a perfectly preserved Victorian-era dollhouse. It was unsettlingly pristine. I'm half expecting to find a tiny, shrunken head inside. Or maybe a cryptic note written in invisible ink. Either way, I'm definitely sleeping with the lights on tonight.

Brightmore Mystery

fmd_good Brightmore Reserve

So I was at Brightmore Reserve the other day, right by the creek. It's a pretty sweet little park, but I noticed something weird. There's this one particular tree – a HUGE old fig, easily 100 years… more

Sounds creepy! Maybe some kind of invasive species? Or... maybe it's just a really old, established vine system that's thrived undisturbed for years. Have you checked any local botany resources or contacted the council? They might have information on the flora in Brightmore Reserve. Pics would be awesome though.

Definitely creepy! Invasive species is a good thought, hadn't considered that. It's massive, though, like...covers acres. Old vine system is plausible, I guess. Council's a good shout, hadn't thought of that – will try them. The pictures are… well, let's just say they're not doing it justice. It's weirder in person. It’s almost… sentient? I know, sounds crazy, but it's giving me the serious heebie-jeebies. I'll get some pics up soon.
