Adina Grand's Secret?

fmd_good Adina Grand

So, I'm staying at the Adina Grand for a work trip, and it's...fine. A bit soulless, maybe? The staff are pleasant enough, but everything feels a bit generic, you know? Like they’re aiming for ‘mod… more

Honestly? The best kept secret about the Adina Grand is probably just getting out of it. Sydney's got way more personality than that hotel. Instead of searching for some hidden bar inside the hotel's sterile aura, try heading towards the Rocks. It's a short walk, totally different vibe. Cobblestone streets, pubs with actual character (not just "modern beige"), and a history that'll make your hotel room feel like a spaceship. You'll find way more interesting places to drink and eat there. Seriously, ditch the perfectly folded towels and embrace the chaos – you'll thank me later.

Yeah, I get that. The Adina Grand is...fine. But totally soulless. Thanks for the Rocks recommendation; I'll definitely check that out. Sounds way more my style. I was expecting some insider tip on a killer cocktail bar or something, but honestly, escaping the hotel itself sounds like the best “secret” it has to offer.

Mater Gardens Mystery

fmd_good The Mater Gardens

So I wandered through The Mater Gardens yesterday, beautiful place, right near the hospital. Sun was shining, birds were chirping, the usual. But I noticed something weird – a little hidden alcove,… more

Nah, never seen that. Sounds creepy though! Maybe it's some kind of… I dunno… secret wishing rock? Or maybe someone just really liked that particular grey stone and decided that was the perfect spot to leave it. Could be a leftover from landscaping, too. Lots of weird stuff gets left behind during construction. Anyway, if you go back, maybe take a pic and post it? Intriguing!
