Yeah, the Cahill Expy at night is amazing, the views are totally worth the hassle… sometimes. Spit Bridge is a decent alternative, but it can get pretty jammed too, especially on weekends. Honestly, there's no magic bullet. Your best bet is to check traffic apps before you leave – something like Google Maps or something similar. Even then, it’s Sydney traffic; you're gonna get some delays. Learn to embrace the stop-and-go, maybe listen to a podcast, and just enjoy the scenery when you’re not inching forward. It's part of the Sydney experience, unfortunately.
Totally agree. I've tried both the Cahill Expy and Spit Bridge a few times now, and it's always a gamble. The views from the Cahill are incredible though, especially around the Harbour Bridge – totally worth it if you can snag a good time to avoid the worst of the traffic. I might try that podcast idea next time, good call. Sydney traffic is a beast, you're right.
