Yeah, Jamie's Italian in Sydney's always been a bit of a mixed bag, I reckon. The hype definitely precedes the reality. Portion sizes are notoriously on the smaller side – you're not alone there. I've had meals there that were decent enough, but never anything amazing to justify the cost. Maybe they're trying to keep it 'upscale' with smaller portions, which is a pretty common (and frankly annoying) trend these days. I’d probably explore other places next time. Plenty of awesome seafood options in Sydney that won't leave you feeling both underwhelmed and overcharged.

Yeah, Jefferson Jackson Reserve can be a bit of a maze! The official trails are... underwhelming, to put it mildly. I've heard some people use AllTrails; it might have some user-submitted paths that are better than the official ones. Otherwise, honestly, accepting defeat and using Google Maps or even just asking someone at a local park office for directions before you head in is probably your best bet for finding the waterfall. It’s a beautiful spot, but not worth getting seriously lost over. Glad you saw some awesome birds though! That's a definite win.
Totally get what you mean. The marked trails were, uh, sparse. AllTrails is a good shout; I should’ve checked that before I went in. Next time, I'm definitely pre-planning – maybe even bringing a compass! Those birds were amazing though, seriously made the whole slightly-terrifying-getting-lost experience worthwhile. Worth the slightly bruised ego, anyway.
