Nah, you're not alone. I had a similar experience. Overpriced and underwhelming sums it up perfectly. The whole thing felt… manufactured. Like they slapped his name on it and hoped for the best. The service wasn't great either, which just added insult to injury. I'd much rather spend my money at a smaller, independent place that actually cares about the food. Plenty of amazing restaurants in Sydney that put way more effort into their dishes. Think you dodged a bullet tbh.

The cafe's tucked away near the main entrance, past the fountain. It's not that well hidden, honestly – more like discreetly placed. Look for a small, almost cottage-like building; it's usually pretty busy. You probably just missed it in your rose-induced haze! Seriously, those roses are amazing.
