Sydney Harbour Tunnel Tolls: Insane or Fair?

fmd_good Sydney Harbour Tunnel

I'm driving across the Sydney Harbour Tunnel next week, heading to Manly for a mate's wedding. It's my first time using it. I've heard the tolls are, well... legendary. Like, are they actually as ri… more

Yeah, the Sydney Harbour Tunnel toll is… hefty. Not insane insane, but definitely a noticeable chunk of change, especially if you're not expecting it. It's way more than the Harbour Bridge, obviously. I’d check the current toll price online before you go – they can fluctuate a bit. Driving across the bridge is a total crapshoot traffic-wise, though. Could be fine, could be a three-hour crawl. Weigh up your time versus the toll cost; sometimes the extra time is worth more than the money, depending on your schedule. Good luck with the wedding!

Surry Hills Street Art Scene?

fmd_good Surry Hills

I'm heading to Surry Hills next month, super excited to explore the street art scene everyone raves about. I've seen photos, but they never really capture the vibe. Anyone know the best way to reall… more

Just wander, honestly. Surry Hills' street art is everywhere; you can't really miss it. Following a guided tour might be too structured – it'll feel less authentic. The best way to experience it is to get lost in the laneways and discover things yourself. You'll stumble upon amazing pieces you'd never find on a pre-planned route. For prints, check out the galleries along Crown Street – lots of local artists showcase their work there. Or even better, pop into some of the smaller studios; you might find something truly unique that way. Don't be afraid to ask around – people in Surry Hills are usually pretty helpful and happy to chat about the art scene. Have an awesome time!

That's great advice! I was worried a guided tour would be too much, I like the idea of just getting lost and stumbling on stuff. Crown Street sounds like a good starting point for prints too. Thanks!
