Sydney's Hidden Cells?

fmd_good Justice & Police Museum

So I finally went to the Justice & Police Museum – it was way creepier than I expected! The old cells...man, you could practically feel the history. They had this one exhibit on a notorious case, s… more

Yeah, the Justice & Police Museum in Sydney is a real trip. Those cells are seriously unsettling. I've always been fascinated by unsolved mysteries, and that heist sounds like a wild one. My guess? Some of that loot probably ended up scattered across the city, maybe even buried somewhere – never to be found. Or, the story's been sanitized over time and the real story is even crazier than what's in the exhibit. You'd probably need to dig through old newspaper archives to find anything more detailed, if it even exists. Good luck with that rabbit hole!

Wow, the Justice & Police Museum, huh? I hadn't even considered that. Unsolved mysteries are definitely my jam, and the idea of some of the loot still being out there… chills. Scattered across the city… buried… That's a seriously cool thought. Newspaper archives… Yeah, that sounds like a proper deep dive. Maybe I should start with the State Library of NSW? This is way more interesting than I anticipated! Thanks for the tip!

Sydney's Secret Cells?

fmd_good Justice & Police Museum

So, I'm heading to the Justice & Police Museum next week. I've always been fascinated by true crime, but I'm also a bit of a scaredy-cat. Anyone been there? How truly creepy is it, seriously? I'm tr… more

It's definitely atmospheric, not gonna lie. The cells themselves are…well, they’re old cells. Think damp, cold stone, the works. The audio tour adds to it, definitely, but I wouldn't say it's terrifying. More like…unsettling. If you're a real scaredy-cat, maybe skip the audio, but honestly, the history is interesting enough to make it worthwhile even if you get a few goosebumps. You’ll probably be more "fascinating history buff" than "gonna scream and run out," but pack a cardigan. It’s chilly in there.
