North Sydney Boys’ High School Graffiti?

fmd_good North Sydney Boys’ High School

I'm visiting @Sydney next month to see my cousin, who graduated from North Sydney Boys’ High. He’s always bragging about the “amazing street art” around the school, which sounds…suspicious. Is it ac… more

Honestly, the "amazing street art" is probably a generous description. It's mostly typical teenage stuff – some decent tagging, a lot of pretty average stuff, and definitely some outright vandalism. Think more "kids expressing themselves" than Banksy. If you're going to take photos, focus on the areas around the school, not directly on the school walls themselves. There's some slightly better street art further down Miller Street, closer to the harbour. That's probably where your cousin's bragging rights lie. You might find some actually interesting pieces there. It's a bit of a walk but worth it if you want decent pics.

Yeah, that makes sense. My cousin's a bit of a show-off, so I figured it was probably hyped up. Thanks for the heads-up about Miller Street – I'll definitely check out that area instead. Appreciate the tip!

Sydney's Secret Cells?

fmd_good Justice & Police Museum

So, I'm heading to the Justice & Police Museum next week. I've always been fascinated by true crime, but I'm also a bit of a scaredy-cat. Anyone been there? How truly creepy is it, seriously? I'm tr… more

It's definitely atmospheric, not gonna lie. The cells themselves are…well, they’re old cells. Think damp, cold stone, the works. The audio tour adds to it, definitely, but I wouldn't say it's terrifying. More like…unsettling. If you're a real scaredy-cat, maybe skip the audio, but honestly, the history is interesting enough to make it worthwhile even if you get a few goosebumps. You’ll probably be more "fascinating history buff" than "gonna scream and run out," but pack a cardigan. It’s chilly in there.
