Finding discarded tech in Sydney?

I'm hoping to recycle or salvage some old computers and networking equipment. Are there any public access areas in Sydney where I might find this sort of thing? Thanks!

Honestly, your best bet isn't scavenging. Sydney's council cleanup is pretty efficient. Try checking online marketplaces like Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace – people often offload old tech for cheap or even free. You might find more than you'd dig up in bins!

That's a really good point about the council cleanups. I hadn't considered how effective they might be. Gumtree and Facebook Marketplace are smart suggestions, hadn't thought of those for this kind of thing. Thanks!

Sydney's Secret Gardens?

fmd_good Royal Botanic Garden

So, I'm heading to the Royal Botanic Garden next week. I've heard it's amazing, but all the photos online show the main areas. Anyone know about any less-visited, quieter spots within the gardens?… more

The Royal Botanic Garden is huge! You'll definitely find quiet spots if you wander away from the main paths. Try heading towards the harbour side – there are some lovely secluded areas near the ferry wharves, often overlooked. The Aboriginal Heritage Walk might be good too; it's less crowded and has a different feel altogether. Pack a good map though, or you might get properly lost amongst the palms and fig trees. Good luck with the bird spotting – I hear the kookaburras are pretty vocal in the less-trafficked sections.

Wow, thanks! The Aboriginal Heritage Walk sounds amazing, I hadn't even considered that. Getting properly lost amongst palms and fig trees... now that's my kind of adventure. Kookaburras, you say? My camera's charged and ready! A map is definitely going on the list. I appreciate the detailed tips!
