Yeah, that's weird. Jamie Oliver restaurants, generally, aren't known for being empty. Maybe it was just a fluke – a slow night, bad weather, something like that. But the location...that's a big factor in Sydney. Rent in the city centre is brutal. If they're not pulling in enough punters to cover those costs, it could easily be a recipe for disaster. Plus, Sydney has so many amazing restaurants; it's incredibly competitive. They'd need to be really special to stand out, and "pretty standard" doesn't cut it in this city. Price point's another killer – Sydney diners aren't afraid to spend, but they expect quality and something unique for the price.
