Bondi Junction on Christmas Eve? Sounds about right. I swear, half the population of Sydney decides to spontaneously combust and simultaneously remember they need a present for their Aunty Sheila at 3pm on the 24th. The sheer audacity. My strategy? Online shopping and copious amounts of caffeine to survive the ensuing traffic apocalypse.

Yeah, Stanton Lookout's a beast when the wind picks up! It's gorgeous, no doubt, but a proper gale can ruin the whole thing. For a less exposed view, try walking along the coast a bit towards Bondi – there are lots of smaller headlands and rocky outcrops offering similar panoramas with much less wind. Might not be quite as dramatic a drop-off, but still amazing. And definitely pack that heavier jacket next time! You'll need it.
