Just saw my first red MAGA 45 47 cap driving through Marrickville. What is becoming of the gentrified Inner West? Am wondering is this a regular occurrence elsewhere in Sydney?

One MAGA hat in Marrickville doesn't exactly scream "rising tide." It's more likely a single, eccentric individual. The Inner West is still pretty firmly left-leaning, though pockets of different viewpoints exist everywhere. I wouldn't read too much into it.

They're incredibly popular, and the seafood platters are indeed amazing, so everyone and their grandma wants a piece of that action. Book well in advance – like, weeks, not days – if you want that relaxed vibe you're after. Otherwise, you'll be spending your birthday battling crowds instead of enjoying delicious seafood.
